Austin is now in Year Two. Here we begin at 13 months of age!!
June 13, 2009 Thirteen Months Old
Austin is running everywhere he can and getting into plenty of mischief. He can sign eat, drink, more, and milk. At his one-year pediatric appointment he weighed in at 20 pounds and 10 ounces. He's over 29 inches long now! His speaking vocabulary includes: mama, dada, good, yeah, and wow. So much fun!!
July 13, 2009 Fourteen Months Old
The master mimic is copying Mama and Dada as often as he can. He's been swiffing the floors, wiping tables, and even running in place on the treadmill. He's definitely watching everything! He's been enjoying the great outdoors this summer. Also, he's taken to requesting diaper changes as well as saying "nigh, nigh" when he's ready for sleep. He's growing so much, but he's still our baby!
August 13, 2009 Fifteen Months Old
Austin is getting into everything these days. He loves opening drawers and getting into cabinets. He says "bad" when he gets hurt, and he's having a blast running outside. As you can see, he enjoys chocolate and gets it all over his face!
September 13, 2009 Sixteen Months Old
Well, he has been signing a whole lot more. He's just started signing "please." As for his speaking, he's been saying a few Spanish words now! He says "mas" and "rico." This kid is running all over the place. He has taken his first dip in the pool and is really taking to the new place in El Paso. He's loving all the family around.
October 13, 2009 Seventeen Months Old
Austin's communication skills are improving everyday. He's starting to sign "cheese." And his verbal skills are impressive. He says Mommy, Daddy, Uty (Gusty), cawcaw (cracker), wawa (water), coco, puchi, and several other words that just slip out on occasion. He can even point to himself and say Awtin now. Of course, his favorite "toys" aren't toys at all. He loves to play with cell phones. He even has a little conversation sometimes! He enjoys throwing a ball to Chiquis, the little Chihuahua, and he's got rhythm. This kid loves to dance--even to the sound of the air conditioning! He is very social also. He waves and says hi to strangers and says bye and blows kisses. He's a lot of fun these days.
November 13, 2009 Eighteen Months Old
This busy eighteen-month-old is climbing every chance he gets. Everything is a step stool. He's interested in more complex toys now, and he even showed empathy by giving his mama a hug when she got hurt! Also, this big boy finally got his first haircut. It's trim and tidy but still full of curls.
December 13, 2009 Nineteen Months Old
Austin continues to climb on everything and is getting pretty brave. He's repeating more sounds and enjoying being around people. He loves going to the park on the rare warm day, and he is getting heavy to carry!

February 13, 2010 Twenty-one Months Old
At almost 34 inches and 27 pounds, this boy is growing like crazy. He is beginning to put simple sentences together, and he can understand a lot more of grown-up talk. He enjoys jumping these days, and he's starting to pick out his own shirts. Also, he says Mommy and Daddy now. Gone are the days of just Mama and Dada. He sounds more and more like a little boy.

March 13, 2010 Twenty-two Months Old
Austin continues to learn new words every day. He's learning colors and numbers, and this boy can run quite fast! His dancing skills are impressive, too. He really gets into the music.
April 13, 2010 Twenty-three Months Old
Austin is following simple directions these days. He recognizes peoples' houses and their things, too!
May 13, 2010 TWO YEARS OLD!
This two-year-old is mimicking everything he hears. He sure loves practicing his language skills. He notices patterns and routines, and he still loves running around at the park.
